For me this CD has been much anticipated. After following Nemesea to Sellaband, and discovering the wonderful world of T-Ka I came across an email from Docnik (Doctor Nick) Mandana's (The singer) brother wanting me to check out this band called SolidTube. I was instantly hooked. The Americana sound and the quality of the music sent my mind  pondering .Why isn't this band on the radio here in the US? They are far better than the crap currently playing on both the country and top 40 stations. I was amazed to to learn that this band wasn't from down home Tennessee or Texas. They reside in Austria. I guess I should not be too surprised .Austria is the birth place of music.

SolidTube's "The Running Time" certainly is a true work of art. From the soulful vocals of Mandana , to the haunting guitars , and harp of Mike and Gerry. This type of music cannot be taught. It's in their soul. Some rockin  tracks include "Know me ,Crusade What I say" ,as with an old favourite "Welcome to africa". "Home , Shadows of the night,  Naked", an my personal favourite of all time "Farewell " are soulful ballads .This leaves 2 tracks left. "Sunny day" which was my most anticipated song to hear, and again a excellent job all around. The choir gives it an extra touch of greatness. Which leaves the last track "Some things never change" A haunting ballad which all did a superb job on. Especially Gerry on the harp. This has to be my favourite of the CD. Now I wait for the Limited edition CD. There should be more songs on this.

The CD was produced by Pete Strobl ,which did a fantastic job on the sound and quality of the CD. The difference I noticed from SolidTube's first CD "For god's sake" and this one is I think the harmonica of Gerry stands out more. Both CD's are top quality .For those of you lucky enough to have purchased the "For god's sake" CD it is definitely a good compliment to the new CD ."Prisoner of myself" is excellent.

Congratulation's all on this CD, everyone did a great job, and a special message to Pete. You've taken perfection and improved it! Great work! (Note Pete has also produced C5's CD and it should be out in July)

Once in a lifetime you come across a band like this. Their songs are from the soul . Enjoy!!
